Bayside is a coastal community in Sutton, Dublin bordered by the rich biodiversity of the Dublin Bay BioSphere with just over 2000 households and includes the area bordered by the Baldoyle Road, the Kilbarrack Road, and the DART line. The original idea and design for Bayside was an American ideal of mixed housing, open plan gardens, lots of shared green space all centred around a community square. Our square boasts shops, a local pub and a thriving community centre which is home to many activities from Youth clubs to Line dancing and Tae Kwan Do! Not to mention our local tennis, soccer, running and GAA clubs.

It is this sense of coastal living and communal planning and design that contributes to the uniquely creative and special atmosphere and the sense of wellbeing you get when living in Bayside.

Developed in the 1960’s and 1970’s, Bayside is a relatively modern housing estate with already a rich history. Below a couple of aerial photos from 1969 and 1971 depicting the early stages of the development.
